08/17/2005   My Nona turned 90 years old today! Happy Birthday Nona!
07/26/2005   We finally have the results of the endoscopy and probes. His esphagus is fine, no lesions
or problems from the reflux. Thank God! Also, he has reflux. We knew that! He has reflux off and on all day and
all night long. It explains why he is still waking up multiple times per night. So for now, we're sticking with
the Prevacid until he's at least 9 months old.
06/06/2005   Matthew is six months old today! Happy half a year kiddo!
06/21/2005   Matthew had a doctors appointment with our specialist Dr. Davies. We've decided that we're
going to do an endoscopy and PH probe just to make sure that everything is okay in Matthew's belly and that
there isn't any damage to his esophagus from his reflux.
05/20/2005   Dave went in to surgery today. He's getting his gallbladder taken out. He has at least one
gallstone, and he has been having pains associated with that. The surgery went fine. They let him go home at
5:00pm. He's spent the weekend recovering and taking it easy.
05/09/2005   Going camping again. This time for almost a week. It's our annual Forest Hill trip to celebrate
Jason's birthday. Happy Birthday Jason!
04/08/2005   We're going camping! We're heading to Hollister Hills SVRA to ride our dirt bikes. It's the first
time I'll be riding since I got pregnant. Also it's Matthew's first camping trip! UPDATE: We had a great time, and
Matthew did really well.
03/20/2005   Unfortunately today we had to put Guenhwyvar to sleep. After hours at the emergency vet's office
it was determined that she has eaten some poisonous mushrooms. The toxins attacked her liver and caused total liver
failure. They said that even if we had watched her eat the mushrooms, we would have been unable to save her. The toxins
are just too strong. So, we brought her home, and put her to sleep. I want to thank Dr. Irene from Black Oak Animal
Hospital for coming out on a Sunday. It was my wish to have Guen's last memories be of her home and going to sleep on
her favorite bed, not scared in some cold hospital. Dr. Irene helped me give that to Guen. I will miss her terribly,
but I know that I will see her again in a better place.
03/18/2005   Today is our 5 year anniversary! It's hard to believe that we've been married for 5 years!
We are celebrating at our favorite restaurant The Sequoia. I put in a special request for venison and buffalo. As usual, Dave (the manager of the Sequoia)
and Nicole (our waitress) went above and beyond. We had a truly wonderful night.
03/07/2005   It's Dave's first day back at work. It has been so nice having him home
for the past 8 weeks. He has helped out so much with Matthew. I am really going to miss all of the family time we've
been able to spend together. I love you Dave!
01/06/05   At 4:40 in the afternoon, Susan gave birth to Matthew David Perez. He was 6 pounds 7 and one
half ounces and was 19 and one half inches long. Due to minor complications, Susan and Matthew stayed in the
hospital for four days. They finally came home on the 10th of January.
09/04/04   We had our ultrasound on Thursday, and
08/24/04   We're just over 18 weeks along now. At this point both Dave and I can feel the baby move. It's very
exciting! I have another ultrasound scheduled for Sept 2nd. Hopefully (everyone cross their fingers) we
will be able to tell if it' a boy or a girl. I'll be sure to keep you posted.
07/22/04   I am fifteen weeks pregnant today. I had an ultrasound scheduled as well.
I was hoping that we would be able to find out if we were having a boy or a girl, but the
technician said that it was still too early in the pregnancy. Oh well... Check out the pictures
on the Pregnancy page.
5/19/04   Well, well, well... I had a doctors appointment today, and I found out that
I am pregnant! Six weeks tomorrow! Oh my goodness.. what have we done??? LOL
Our due date is January 14, 2005, and needless to say we are very excited. Yay!
Will it be a boy or a girl? Stay tuned!
5/9/04   We just got back from our cruise! What a wonderful experience! We had a wonderful time
diving and checking out all that the ship had to offer. Check out some of the pictures
that I've posted.
5/1/04   Today we leave for our cruise to the Caribbean! We leave from Miami, and it's 7 days.
We are stopping in Belize, Honduras, Grand Caymen, and Cozumel. How exciting!!!
Thanks Carol for taking care of the pooches for us!
3/18/04   Okay, so it's been a little while since I last posted anything. So sue me!
Today is our fourth wedding anniversary. We are celebrating by going to a Sharks home game.
It's the last game of the season, and they are playing LA. Go Sharks!
05/23/02   We bought a new tractor today! You can check out the pictures of it on the pics page under Land Pictures.
It is a track layer with a four in one bucket, and a 24" back hoe. It also has a roll cage, so it's about 100%
safer than the old one was. Plus it actually runs on it's own. Not bad. Now the real work begins!
05/04/02   Happy Birthday to Israel! He's turns two years old today! It's been one month since we moved in.
About half of the boxes have been unpacked, but it seems like they are multiplying. The more I unpack the more
there are to unpack. Not to mention it's very difficult to find places for all of our stuff! We started the
tractor up! It doesn't run on it's own, the clutch is toast, but we towed it over to where we needed it and
put it to work. We are looking to buy a new one though, because a mechanic came out to take a look at it, and
recommended that I use the back hoe to dig a hole big enough to bury the thing. Oh well...
04/13/02   It has been one week since we moved in! We finally have our bedroom set up, and we are working on unpacking
the huge number of boxes that are laying around everywhere. We are torn between working on the inside of the house and working
outside too. Both need work badly. Well, the house isn't too bad, but the outside needs a lot of work.
04/05/02   Today is moving day! Let me tell you how difficult it is to drive an old diesel manual transmission
U-Haul truck through Highway 193! Then up our driveway! If you haven't been to the property yet, then once you
visit once you will understand. We were able to handle it though. Much thanks to Dave Sr. and Carolyn for coming
up to help us out. Without them we never would have been able to get out of that crappy place we were renting in
Sacramento in one day.
04/01/02   It's a done deal! Today we went to the title company to sign all of our loan and escrow paperwork.
We met the previous owners son. His name is Richard Marzec Jr. He was gracious enough to do a walk through with
us after signing his portion of the paperwork. He explained all about the property,
and some of the historical information regarding our land. Turns out James Marshall himself lived here and
mined here too!
03/18/02   Today is our second anniversary!! Wow, two whole years of being married! I would be lying if I said that
it didn't seem like it has flown by. We didn't do anything fancy to celebrate this year, we just ordered a pizza and
watched the Sharks get spanked by the L.A. Kings. (darn it!) We are trying to be good and save our money
for the house and the things that are going to go into it. (That's just a little pat on the back for ourselves) :-)
03/01/02   We are once again moving! This time it's to Kelsey, California.
It's a small town (pop. 200) located just north of Placerville. We are in the process of buying a 2000 square
foot home (4bed/3bath) on 8+ acres. It's secluded, and on a hilltop, so the only noise you hear is the wind blowing
through the trees. It's very peaceful and serene. To see some pictures of the house and land, go to the pics page
and check it all out!
!!!
So, now we have to figure out what we're going to name him, what theme we want for the room, etc... Decisions, decisions!
If you have any suggestions for names, or anything else, Email us and let us know.
